Abstract

ThePoincare Ìdisk model played an important role in the acceptance and development of hyperbolic geometry. Although exceptionally useful, the pedagogical value of the model can be further enhanced via experimentation in a dynamic geometry environment. The focus of this article is on the creation of custom tools in GeoGebra for constructing hyperbolic lines and circles in the Poincare Ì disk. In an effort to make this material accessible to a wider audience, the necessary mathematics is also included.
