As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in LaTeX (.tex), Microsoft Word, or Plain Text document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Manuscripts should be a maximum of 3000 words. Please use APA style in your submission citing sources with appropriate information such as author, journal or book title, publisher, date, and pages. Original figures, tables, and graphs should appear embedded in the document. Please do not use text boxes, footnotes, or headnotes.  An electronic copy of your manuscript or activity is required. Submissions in LaTeX are preferred, although submissions in Word or Plain Text will also be accepted for review. Overleaf users can create a new document using our template.

No cover sheet is needed. Authors enter their name, work address, telephone number, fax, and email address as part of the registration process. No author identification should appear on the manuscript or the document's metadata. The editors of the North American GeoGebra Journal use a blind review process.  Please forward questions, comments, or concerns regarding the submission process to james.quinlan@maine.edu.
